The Jewels:
Theme:
The theme of this story is how a man married a women and he fell in love with her but at the end he never knew who she really was she had lied to him saying the jewels she got were fake but in reality they were worth a lot. She lied and then he inherited all of the fortune of those jewels when she died and married again.
Exposition:
Was how he fell in love with her and married her and then after her death he found out so many things of her things that he didn't expect from her and then later after becoming rich with her jewels he became greedy ad married again but now his second wife makes him very unhappy.
Conflict- Interval vs. External
The conflict of this story is that they fell in love and when his wife dies he goes into depression and finishes all his money and becomes very poor but then decides to ell the worthless jewels that were supposedly fake told by his wife and turns lout they were very expensive and now he finds out that honestly the whole time they were married he actually didn't know the truth behind his wife, he only knew the things his wis told her and thats all.
Climax-
He becomes poor after his wives death and does not know what to do and proceed in sailing the jewels to survive his hunger.
Resolution:
He sales all the jewels and inherits a large quantity of money and is the richest per on at the end
Foreshadowing:
He got married with a very beautiful girl and falls in love more and more each day not knowing the truth about her in reality just the words and the events that she tells him she has done
Characters:
The husband works and finds a girl and falls in love. The girl loves him but does not say the shoe truth about she is doing and how she is getting all those expensive jewels. The husband then changes after her death and inherits lots of money and sleeps with money and marries again. He married a women ho is very virtuous but very bad tempered and makes him very unhappy at the end.

The symbolism are the jewels. the husband thought that the jewels were fake because his wife told him. it symbolizes untruth lies and how she lied to him

Her simple beauty has a modest angelic charm and the imperceptible smile which always hovered about her lips seemed to be a reflection of her heart.

The irony in this short story was that the wife had told her husband that the jewelry she had was ale but in reality rich man would send them to her and they were all real and very expansive jewelry.
